Creating independence for quality of life.

Our job is to help promote healthy lifestyles to prevent, reduce and manage disease within our populations.

This will improve the quality of life for all people.

What is Exercise Physiology?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are specialists in exercise interventions and delivery for people with chronic conditions, apparently healthy populations (low risk) and strength and conditioning for athletes. Exercise physiologists have a wide range of knowledge of the working anatomy and the benefits of exercise and how it can help you. We also do Workcover claims and injury management to improve success of return to work and sports.

What can I expect from an Exercise Physiology appointment?

We undertake a thorough assessment including lifestyle, exercise and health history, working with you to identify your goals. We then work together to devise a management plan, specifically tailored to make sure you reach those goals. Your Exercise Physiologist will then prescribe a course of exercises for either fitness or rehabilitation, to help you get the outcome you want.

What can Exercise Physiology help with?

Exercise Physiologists can help manage a range of common musculoskeletal injuries, such as lower back pain, scoliosis, shoulder bursitis, rotator cuff injuries, knee pain and arthritis, as well as post surgical rehabilitation and more. Exercise Physiologists can also treat medical conditions such as obesity, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, depression, anxiety, asthma and cardiovascular diseases, as well as many other conditions.
