About Alysha
Alysha is a new addition to our team after graduating from James Cook Uuniversity as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in 2020. Alysha has a keen interest in assisting individuals with their rehabilitation journey in preventing further injuries with the aim in maintaining or improving their way of life. Alysha has a specific interest in mental health conditions utilizing exercise interventions to improve an individual’s quality of life in positive manner.
Alysha has experienced her own rehabilitation journey of recovering from four knee reconstructions. Hence, she has had real life personal experience in dealing with the rehabilitation process of an injury and the mental/physical effects that come with an injury. It has been from these personal experiences that has assisted Alysha in her ability to engage with our clients and improve their quality of life.
Alysha also volunteered and participated in placement in the Solomon Islands. While living in a remote location, Alysha assisted the community in the importance of healthy lifestyle while at the same time maintaining cultural respect within the community.
Alysha was previously a dancer from the age of three before her injuries. However, this doesn’t hold her back from participating in physical activity as she loves performing resistance and cardiovascular training in group classes at her local gym to maintain overall fitness and health. In Alysha’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends enjoying Far North QLD.
